Frightening! Did you have the photo's before the story? Did it inspire you? Or a nightmare? Just curious. Well told. The stress of moving, childbirth, life and death. Excellent visuals. Happy Halloween! I'll post mine after midnight.
Dear Yolanda, I am use to this question. I have had many asking me if I selected the picture first or wrote the post. Well, I always write first and look for a picture to fit the bill. And usually i find what i am looking for, thanks to Google:) This is an old post of mine, which i wrote long back. This was a two part story but I had to chop it down for RFW. Thank you for your visit ~
Ewww..that was creepy, ghaz. The scary visuals are still playing in my mind. It felt like watching ..'The Omen' where a child to steer humankind to hell takes birth! Great job. I loved it!!
I agree with your other commentators, very scary but I am so glad everything went well with the birth of the baby (or did it) do you have a sequel in mind?
I have always managed to find pictures that fit my stories. Yes, sometime I do add couple of line to my stories to make the picture more suitable. But I usually write first.
This one!!! From my childhood I'm afraid of darkness and this shadow concept and ghosts!!! Yet I love to read the horror stories rather than watching them on big screens.. A very good narration depicting the inner feelings of a person hearing creaky noises from a place near them where none lives.. Excellent!!!
Welcome to my space. Thank you for your detailed feedback. It made me feel good. I too like to read horror stories and it creeps me out more than horror movies :)
What a terrifying thing for a pregnant mother to endure. I recall having nightmares while I was pregnant. Your story was completely eerie and what a great entry.
Hi Ghazala What a nightmare, and that picture made your story even creepier. I'm left with the impression that her baby is possessed from the ghost following her. That would be terrible. Loved it. Nancy
Such a sinister tale. A evil ghost, terrorizing and imprinting on an unborn child. This is the scariest and most unnerving type of horror because it could happen. There are MANY angry spirits, sadly.
That gave me chills. Add to her personal terror the fact that no one believed her, I was impressed with her concrete ego in that she believed herself. So far, this is the scariest of all the submissions I've read.
Oh my goodness, how terrifying. Somehow this vaguely reminds me of Rosemary's Baby - have you seen that movie? Anyhow, awesome job getting in the spooky element here. And the visual you included made the whole story seem all the creepier.
Apologies, I am just now getting through all of the House of Horrors excerpts. Hope you're having a good weekend!
Ewwww that was eerie... :/

ReplyDeleteDear Sally,

RFW No. 46 - 'Jenny Holland's Robinson Crusoe Halloween'
Dear Anna,
DeleteThank you so much. I am glad you noticed the economy of words, almost made this into flash fiction :)
This was one such piece, where i wrote and felt the scenes as well. Boo to you :)
That picture spooked me out ~ This is a scary plot, magnified by the thought that she is about to give birth to the baby ~
ReplyDeleteDear Heaven,
DeleteThank you and happy Halloween to you, girl..!
