Calcutta International School(CIS), where my kids study, throws an annual fund raising bash at the end of every year. It is an evening where all the parents, patrons and teachers come together for a fun filled evening in an informal do. Everybodyhas a good time and helps a good cause at the same time.
Last year, the plan was to move one step forward with a fashion show of a special kind: Foreign national parents, Indian parents as well as teachers were to walk the ramp. The show was to be done aesthetically and professionally.
Date: 22/10/2011
Location: Banquettes, Park Hotel
Some pictures from the show:
Your truly, all dressed up and excited~

ReplyDeleteFirst things first..I'm crazy about long well wound hair. So to me, you'd look stunning with or without make up. You & your husband make a really nice couple. God Bless You and your family.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to know that you are from Odisha. I used to live at Nageswar Tangi, Lewis Road (its quite near to BJB Nagar). But I am born and brought up in Cuttack. I moved to BBSR for work and I also met my wife here. My job requires me to move around the state of Odisha. So in a few days I'll be outta here too.
By the way I'd been to Kolkata last week (Friday) to watch "Dark Knight Rises" at Forum Mall, Elgin Road. I returned back the same night.
Glad to have known you via Indiblogger. I'm aware of the fact that you are one of those few kind readers who read me regularly and thereby inspire and encourage me to write better.
Thanks Ghazala
Regards,
Anupam
Thank you Anupam,
DeleteI hope you do realise, I am wearing false hair. but thanks anyways for your wishes :)
I remember as kids we use drive to cuttack to catch english movies and now you came to Kolkata to see Batman. I have seen the film, it is awesome~
I am new to indie, have not been posting for a long time here. But quite old to blogging. Nice to connect with people like you. Thanks and nice knowing you here:)
Well well..I guess without actually taking a good look at your real hair, it wouldn't be fair to judge, which is better. So I'll leave it at that. But your kind & encouraging words will always be your true symbol.
DeleteSo here's something for you Mrs Hossain
What's in a lovely pair of eyes, what's in the beauty
What's in long braided hair and an angelic deity
All that matters my lady & all you must care
Is how true is your heart & how much it's fair
God Bless You and your family
Hey Anupam,
DeleteThere you got me floored, Buddy. *smiles*
I agree, we are what we are. I always
enjoy wit and you have it along with flair. Bonus..!
Thanks :)
Listen..when I wrote these lines for you, I struck upon an idea of expanding it into something else. So I ended up composing a poem. The theme is that an honest admirer of a very beautiful lady is singing to her the significance of life beyond just beauty.
DeleteNow the reason why I thought of informing you of this is because these lines (which I wrote for you) are there in the poem. But in an entirely different context. I'm more than sure that you are one lady who believes that personality & character are far superior to just outer beauty.
So please don't take it amiss.
Read it here http://anupampatracontemplates.blogspot.in/2012/07/listen-beautiful.html
Hope you like it.
Cheers !!!
Thanks Ghazala for appreciating "Listen Beautiful... "
DeleteI'm not a lawyer. But in the legal field. Terrific observer you are.
I loved it and now I know you write poetry as well as prose.
DeleteTo put it in Oriya,
Apana ta bahul bhala lekhanti :)))
Thanks~
"Kana Na Kahile Ma Apana..Bahut Bahut Dhanyabad"
DeleteA meeting of our families is a must now, the next time you're coming to BBSR.
There are a few stories I've written too. Just click "Stories" at the Top of my blog. Read at you convenience.
Or when you guys come to Kolkata next..! Which ever is first :)
DeleteThanks and will read you for sure. Bye ~
Ok having looked at the conversation between you and Anupam, I suppose I also echo the same as him. You stunning in the pic :) jaw-dropping. I was thinking had you let down ur hair that would've been awesome
ReplyDeleteHello Hari,
DeleteA woman never gets tired of compliments, so thanks.
As for Anupam, you must know by now we are from the same city.
So a little bias is allowed I guess...LOL
Nice.. Pictures and your husband looks very handsome.. and you too Beautiful...
ReplyDeleteThank you Riyaz,
DeleteI am so happy to read this, God bless :)
Great, no wonder Blogwati G wrote a guest post specially for you. Beyond that, I think this is a very novel initiative. My mother is an educationist, I will talk to her about the idea. Now, I wonder if I can entice someone into writing a guest post for me, if I wear the right Sari.
ReplyDeleteHello Sandy man..! :p
DeleteThank you for your generous feedback. I am happy, Vinita's guest blog
got you curious enough to come here :)
Your Mom is an educationist?? and you are ekdum-naughty :p
Tell her, I said, Amma dekh, aa dekh, tera munda bigda jaye.*in splits*
PS: Wish there was a way we could tag others while commenting e.g.FACEBOOK :(
Vinita's presence here is sourly missed ~
